Hi there! I'm Jaci, a later-in career worker bee who is living the life of her dreams. I have always imagined myself teaching full time and spending as much time as I can find, playing in the mountains. And that is exactly what I am doing....finally...well, kinda...
It hasn't always been this way, so now that I have gotten this far in life, I am grateful. Learning has always been central to my work and personal life. My love of the outdoors has added the colour I needed - for a sense of pop, uniqueness and yes, adventure.
In the mountains, I have healed my broken heart, strengthened my resolve, and found my courage. My favourite quote is by Sir Edmond Hilary who told us..."It us not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves."
WILD Leadership is my approach to being effective at work and at home. Please join me for a fabulous adventure.
I believe ... that micro-adventures and experiences are essential to effective learning; that any place is a learning space - the more novel the better;
and that vulnerability is required to take risks and innovate.
Learning should be adventurous, memorable and fun!
I have over 25 years work experience in the energy sector, healthcare, tech industry, and the non-profit community. I also teach at the undergraduate post secondary and professional level programs throughout the year.
Completed this trek in March 2015 with my teenage son. A wonderful three days with day two being the most strenuous challenge
- Dead Woman's Pass.
Successful summit June 21, 2018. A fabulous 7 day trek with
wonderful scenery, a great group and just enough challenge!
Enjoyed Christmas Day at Everest Base Camp, with amazing trekkers I met along the way! This was by far the hardest hike I've ever done, but is also my favourite to date! Nepal is stunning.
